The Australian Hispanic Women' s Business Network (AHWBN), is an australian, cultural, not- for-profit organization with no political, religious or sexual affiliation; which offers, amongst others, the following services:

 

• Promotion of its Hispanic inheritance in different modalities;

• Voluntary mentoring to recent migrant Hispanic women;

• Social and business networking amongst members and friends of the AHWBN;

• Various Activities and Projects, promoting its objectives.

• Identification and recognition of Hispanic women, who are impacting positively in the Australian community, through their professional, voluntary, educative or artistic work, integrating the Hispanic-Australian community.

 

With this specific purpose, the AHWBN established in 2008, the AHWBN Award, and in 2012, created the AHWBN Young Talent Award, to complement this objective within the Hispanic-Australian youth.

 

The year 2012 also saw the culmination of one of the most ambitious projects of the organization, the publication of the Book “The Swallows” written by members and friends of the AHWBN and edited by member Beatriz Copello, through Bemac Publishing, her literary consultancy. “The Swallows” has been distributed for free to Universities, Libraries, Tafes and community not-for-profit organisations.

 

For the period 2012 - 2013, the AHWBN has already planned several events and projects, like, a photographic exhibition of Hispanic Women with the participation of AHWBN members. Project which will be led by the Winner of the AHWBN AWARD 2011 Susana Enriquez (Alfaro).
